What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived—the things God has prepared for those who love him. – 1 Corinthians 2:9

The glory of God is founded on one eternal truth: the revelation of Jesus Christ. This revelation shows us who God is, what He does, and what He has accomplished through His eternal power in Jesus.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. – John 1:14

We encounter this glory when we study Christ and reflect on God’s love through the lens of His actions on our behalf. We must remember that humanity is an integral part of this divine glory. This is perfectly symbolized by the four faces of the living creatures in  Revelation 4:6-8

  1. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah – representing kingship and victory
  2. The Man – the face of revelation, wisdom, and authority
  3. The Eagle – descended from heaven, soaring above the earth back to heaven in the resurrection
  4. The Calf (or Lamb) – the sacrifice that was slain

The face of the Man represents our role: to receive revelation, exercise God-given wisdom, and walk in spiritual authority. As creations reborn in Christ, our spiritual formation is rooted in this truth:

As he is, so are we in this world. – 1 John 4:17

So we must ask ourselves: What has God, through Christ, done for me?
This single question, when truly reflected upon, will transform your worship, love, study, and prayer life. It shifts the focus from what we can get from God to the astounding reality of what we already have in Christ.

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. – Colossians 3:3

He is not merely the firstborn among many; He is the Lamb that was slain for our redemption. He is the Lion of Judah who devours every enemy-on earth, in the grave, and in the heavenly realms. He has conquered enemies of the past, present, and future.

He entered time itself with His eternal power and disarmed principalities and powers, triumphing over them. Then, He did the unthinkable: He gave the gifts of that power and a position at His very throne to us (the new humanity).

He is the Eagle who descended from heaven, walked the earthly mountains, descended into the grave in death, and in His resurrection and glorification, ascended far above all rule, authority, and power. He now sits at the highest point of attainment in God: the right hand of the Father, which is both a place, a seat, and all authority.

In conclusion
Oh, you who are born again-not of human blood, nor of the will of man, but of God’s very Spirit—understand this:

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived—the things God has prepared for those who love him.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9

No words can fully capture the eternity of benefits already loaded upon you.
