• By Gideon Adegunle

For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call on Him?
Deuteronomy 4:7

In the physical realm, the closest substance to every living being whether human, animal, or plant is air. Though invisible, air is essential to life.

In a similar but far greater sense, the spirit is the first realm the unseen reality where the operations of faith, judgment, and divine interaction take place.

The spiritual realm is more populated and more active than the physical one. Scripture speaks of innumerable angels and the spirits of just men made perfect (Hebrews 12:22–23). This reminds us that what we see in the natural is only a shadow of what exists in the Spirit.

Think of it like the internet a system that connects people and devices across the globe. The spiritual realm is more populated and more active than the physical one. Scripture speaks of innumerable angels and the spirits of just men made perfect (Hebrews 12:22–23). This reminds us that what we see in the natural is only a shadow of what exists in the Spirit.

God is not just a being He is a realm.

He is a place. A hiding place. Closer than air. Closer than our thoughts.

In Him we live, and move, and have our being.
 Acts 17:28

God is the center of spiritual gravity, the force that holds all things together. He is not just the God of the past, present, and future He is the past, present, and future. He was, is, and is to come

He Is God (Present) By Revelation and Relationship

1. Revelation: God makes Himself known.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him…
John 6:44

You don’t arrive at the reality of God through reasoning alone. You receive it by spiritual unveiling a divine awakening.

Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in heaven.
Matthew 16:17

2. Relationship: Revelation opens the door, but relationship is how we walk with Him daily.

And this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God…
John 17:3

In relationship, you learn:

  • His voice

  • His presence

  • His timing

  • His love

Conclusion

God is not far off He is near. Closer than breath. He is not just a help He is present help. Through revelation, we come to see Him; through relationship, we walk with Him daily. To know God is to know that we are never alone, for He is always with us, in us, and for us Ezrah Nimtza, our very present help.

Praying with an Unsettled Mind

Scripture shows us that stillness is not optional but it is foundational. Prayer is not only about speaking; it is about being present, attentive, and aligned. Praying with an unsettled mind does not make prayer invalid, but it limits its effectiveness, depth, and clarity. God is always ready to engage, but the believer must learn to align the inner life.
